WATERING SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE MEMORIAL DAY TO LABOR DAY

NO WATERING ON MONDAY

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS REGULAR WATERING SCHEDULE UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED

This important message is from the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus regarding the watering schedule to be followed in each area. Sprinkler systems or hand-held watering hoses may be used. For watering purposes, the borough is divided into three zones and each area is permitted to water two days each week.

On January 16, 2024, Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation into law, A-1755 McKeon/S-2505 Smith, as Public Law 2024, Chapter 299 that requires those with an automatic lawn sprinkler system to install an automatic rain sensor or smart sprinkler for water conservation purposes.

  • Manual sprinkler (portable) (move and turn on/off valve) and soaker hoses may not be used between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM on your watering day.
  • Automatic watering systems may be used between 3:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M. on your watering day only.
  • Hand held hoses may be used for flower gardens and vegetable gardens any day except Monday. No handheld hoses can be used for lawn maintenance.
  • Hand washing of vehicles is allowed on your watering day only.
