V.F.W. Post 192

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is an organization that is for any citizen of the United States who is honorably discharged from the Armed Forces and having served, or on Active Duty and currently is serving, in a combat zone, received imminent danger pay, or received special pay for duty subject to hostile fire. The VFW has many Posts throughout the 50 states and U.S. territories, possessions, and the world.

The purposes of our Washington Elm VFW Post 192 and the National VFW organization as chartered by Congress are “fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational, and are:

  1. to preserve and strengthen comradeship among our members;
  2. to assist worthy comrades;
  3. to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows and orphans;
  4. to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States, and fidelity to its Constitution and laws;
  5. to foster true patriotism;
  6. to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom; and
  7. to preserve and defend the United States from all enemies.
