Council Member Steven Shell

Steve and his wife Elizabeth have been residents of Ho-Ho-Kus for more than 25 years.  They raised three daughters, Allie, Katie and Georgia in town, all attending the HHK/Waldwick Co-op Nursery School, HHK Public School and Northern Highlands.  They are 20+ year members of the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus where Steve has served as a Deacon and member of the Consistory.  His public service in Ho-Ho-Kus started with coaching his daughters in rec soccer, softball, basketball and lacrosse. Steve was a member of the HHK Zoning Board for 4 years until first elected to Councilman in 2011.  In his 10 years serving on the Council, Steve has been Commissioner of Roads and the HHK Water Department, and Liaison to HHK Health Department. Councilman Shell currently serves as Finance Committee Chair, Commissioner of the HHK Fire Department, and Liaison to the HHK Chamber of Commerce. Steve is a champion of fiscal responsibility and serves to ensure we remain the vibrant, welcoming and highly rated community our residents value.
